"It's 2019"

You'e heard the phrases; "It's 2019, things have changed!" "We all have a right to be who ever we want to be", "stop judging/hating and go somewhere else" they all say. It's one excuse after another to make the sins of today seem completely innocent. If a man who committed murder were to claim that he is just being his true self, he cant help it it's who he is, would we say he is excused and release him from prison? I wonder why we wouldn't? I know you're thinking "he killed people! That's the worst sin there could ever be...I'm not hurting anyone so therefore I am not sinning.", oh but is that true? Marriage used to in it's beginning have a beautiful picture it represented. A woman and a man fall in love and live together, raise a family, and support one another (representing Christ Jesus' love for us). Now we have the idea twisted that it is okay for a man to be with a man and same with woman. What picture does that paint? It totally changes the whole dynamic of marriage and not to mention all the complications that at some point come up. You know what I'm talking, your family gets "judged", you experience sexual dysfunction...two women or two men just doesn't work...But it's all cause we're being our true selves, right? That's all that counts now a days.
Checkout this verse, it explains very well the way even churches are today. They want to hear what makes them happy, they want to hear that what they are doing is not sin and is absolutely okay...but one question: What are we as "Christians" (God's ambassadors) doing? We are feeding into their desires and telling them it's okay. Even believers are being tricked by the lie of "be your true self", "you decide who you are" "you make your own destiny", but what if that isn't true at all? Come on now! Don't tell me you don't know the truth. We are not our own creators, we are NOT OUR OWN! God is our creator, He is our maker, He is everything and without Him we are nothing. When we take our opportunity to lead people by being a pastor, ministering, being a music artist, whatever the platform...when we take our stand and decide to feed the lie that "we decided who we are", we are no longer representing God. We have crossed the line. What does that say about the maker, the creator, "we no longer need you." Is that our message? Is that what we're trying to do? Christians are not perfect and we're not going to act like we are but we also cannot follow the world and what they are doing. We are different, why shouldn't we act like we are? Don't let the "majority" scare you into staying quiet about the truth and don't let them reel you into believing their lies. Take a stand and plant yourself firmly in it. We know the TRUTH.
