Together

”we’ll get through this together.” Picture this: you and your spouse next to each other, hand in hand. There’s no better place than that. You feel at home and safe. You never want to leave his side. Than the storm comes. Life puts hurdles between you two to try and break you apart but it doesnt succeed. Through the strongest wind, the darkest night, you remain together til the end. Even when an opportunity comes to dance in the sun, you stay in the storm cause that’s where you belong...together.  For you two it doesn’t matter where you, all that matters is your with each other. This is what a Godly marriage should look like. It’s that choice to stay during the rain when you could leave and enjoy rainbows and sun. That is what Love is. It’s staying through the tough times. Loving your husband when he can’t even love himself.  Staying when he doesn’t feel he deserves you. Picking up after the kids when you already did the last week. That moment you stood at the alter and said I do, was the moment you began the journey, but deep down in your heart...you know it began way before that. Sure when you first met him, there was that spark. You just knew he was the one. You were so romantically captivated. Just looking at a ring made you think of him. As you watched children, you’d pictured your own. You envisioned your whole future together. But now, it’s finally here. You two are married, you have kids and you’ve been dealing with the same things for weeks. You might be asking yourself if this is really what life will be like forever. The honeymoon might be over now, but the main important part has just begun. Your life of showing Gods love to the world. Never forget the purpose of it all. It’s not to be with someone romantically, or be called a mommy and get to join in on Mother’s Day, it’s to share the love God gave to you to others so that they would receive it also.  Don’t ever forget!
