The Trust Method

Hello, I am Forest. I work here at FamilyFaithWisdom and most of the posts you see are written by me! I wanted to share some knowledge with you all that I have and I think the kids especially will love this one. Okay! So I'm going to guess each of you are a responsible child who does everything their parents say (like me), and as they always say "you reap what you sow." If my guess is right, and your like me, then you have been wondering why that doesn't seem to be true for you. My whole life I have been the good kid. Always doing what I'm told, doing things to surprise people and make them happy! Don't get me wrong, I'm not perfect and I have messed up more times than I could count. But the point is that I am (for the most part) a very reliable, trustworthy, and faithful person. Someone says to do something, I do it immediate whether I want to or not. Rarely do I ever show that I don't want to. The thing is...for being such a goodie two shoes I would ...

Technology Alert

In so many (almost every) home there is some form of technology. It's every where, but to be honest it can be very useful. Everyday chores are made easier by having machines do normal actions  that would be a hassle. It's very efficient and gives you more time. Other devices such as a TV or Computer are definitely not needed but do make life more easier. It's definitely more of an opinion more than it is a fact, that most people use these entertainment devices too often. In restaurants you'll see kids or even adults playing games or doing who knows what. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but there are families out there that live in this "time" that would like to know how to spend more quality time with their family. Some people plain out just don't care and that's fine. If you don't care about how much time is spent on devices then you can just skip this whole thing. But if you're sitting there thinking to yourself "I wonder how I c...

You Won't Relent

Have you ever heard You Wont Relent by Jesus Culture? The whole message of the song is that God wont relent in pursuing us until he's reached us to the full 100%. Just like in our relationship with God, in all our relationships and families we should be relentless. Never giving up until we've succeeded. The best way to mend wounds and survive life is to stay and fight together. We'll never make it alone and I believe we were never created to. Even the first man, Adam needed somebody with him to help him. Not to say he was incapable of doing it on his own, but God knew he needed someone with him. We all are here to show God's love to this world and the best way we can do that is by sticking with each other instead of against each other.

Upside Down Perspective

Image
When your upside down what does the world look like? Doesn't it make you feel like the world is upside down? Many say "why is the world upside down?" and they usually get the response "It isn't, you are." This is our perspective of many things in life. We see things one way but maybe they are really the other way. To get my point across better, here are two songs for you. They are both by Josh Wilson. Before The Morning and Fall Apart.

Together

”we’ll get through this together.” Picture this: you and your spouse next to each other, hand in hand. There’s no better place than that. You feel at home and safe. You never want to leave his side. Than the storm comes. Life puts hurdles between you two to try and break you apart but it doesnt succeed. Through the strongest wind, the darkest night, you remain together til the end. Even when an opportunity comes to dance in the sun, you stay in the storm cause that’s where you belong...together.  For you two it doesn’t matter where you, all that matters is your with each other. This is what a Godly marriage should look like. It’s that choice to stay during the rain when you could leave and enjoy rainbows and sun. That is what Love is. It’s staying through the tough times. Loving your husband when he can’t even love himself.  Staying when he doesn’t feel he deserves you. Picking up after the kids when you already did the last week. That moment you stood at the alter and said I ...
