Does Anybody Hear Her

We are all so focused on our own problems in our lives that we aren't reaching out to others with their problems. We are the church and we hold hope in our lives by loving others but we aren't doing that. We focus too much on ourselves.

Many parents have their way of doing things...I propose we do things In A Different Way here are some ways parents DO their things The "Empowerment" Way 1. Because I can, because I said so The "Comparison" Way 2.  So and So would never do that! Why can't you be like (name here). The "Simple" Way   3. your grounded. I'm taking your phone! Go to your room! Tell your dad (tell your mom) These ways can work (they often do, ask any parent!) but we aren't here to do it the EASY way, we're here to teach our kids. The truth is...some kids don't learn from the Easy Way but most parents aren't willing to try any other way. They use excuses like "it worked for them...it works on my other kid(s). They just don't take the time. Then parents are left wondering "why do my kids never listen?" The problem is that kids aren't being taught. Life In The Midst Of Sorrow

There was a time when I had thought I had it all, life was perfect, I was happy, I had everything I needed. Or so I thought I did...I soon realized what I thought I'd had, had already been gone. Funny how sometimes you hold onto things thinking you are doing such a good job only to realize it's already slipped away and it's just imagination. Anyway... Suddenly I found everything I needed was taken from me without even a warning sign (at least none that I noticed). The dream I had, I woke up to realize wasn't real and was never going to be. I begged and pleaded for things to change and go back to the way they were. The future i'd planned, I watched it just drift away with nothing I could do to stop it or get it back.  I chased that dream future, looking for whatever I could find that would be like it, to replace it, so I could have that feeling again.
