Paths

What if we all went down the same path every time we came across the opportunity to explore a new one? It would get boring, and produce the same results as before. Sometimes God transitions us into a new place in our lives to show us new scenery and give us a new perspective. This week I am following God's leading to take a new path and I'm excited but also a bit scared. I know it is in God's hands and I can't wait to see what's in store. What's God trying to teach you? Life In The Midst Of Sorrow

There was a time when I had thought I had it all, life was perfect, I was happy, I had everything I needed. Or so I thought I did...I soon realized what I thought I'd had, had already been gone. Funny how sometimes you hold onto things thinking you are doing such a good job only to realize it's already slipped away and it's just imagination. Anyway... Suddenly I found everything I needed was taken from me without even a warning sign (at least none that I noticed). The dream I had, I woke up to realize wasn't real and was never going to be. Many parents have their way of doing things...I propose we do things In A Different Way here are some ways parents DO their things The "Empowerment" Way 1. Because I can, because I said so The "Comparison" Way 2.  So and So would never do that! Why can't you be like (name here). The "Simple" Way   3. your grounded. I'm taking your phone! Go to your room! Tell your dad (tell your mom) These ways can work (they often do, ask any parent!) but we aren't here to do it the EASY way, we're here to teach our kids. The truth is...some kids don't learn from the Easy Way but most parents aren't willing to try any other way. They use excuses like "it worked for them...it works on my other kid(s).
